Special exterior paint

Outdoor wood degrades physiologically with the passage of time: it swells and deforms, due to the atmospheric agents to which it is exposed (rain, sun, cold, salt, humidity, etc.) causing the coating to flake. To last over time it therefore requires a specific paint, which protects and beautifies it.

In this regard it is recommended to use a primer or one outdoor wood enamel:

• An impregnator penetrates inside the wood, leaving its grain visible; It effectively protects the wood from the aggression of atmospheric agents and gives the wood a natural appearance.
• A glaze, on the other hand, forms a resistant and homogeneous film of the desired color on the surface of the wood. It completely covers the wood grain, waterproofs it and makes it invulnerable to external agents.

As regards this type of product BRICHOME recommend nail polish LITRON by Boero, a product of excellent quality and available in different colours.

LITRON

This product actually has a very versatile use: it is a high solid, brilliant synthetic enamel for exteriors and interiors. It is a new concept product: higher thickness per coat of product, high elasticity and excellent expansion, combined with greater coverage and fullness of the film. It can be applied extremely easily on the most varied types of support: iron and wooden artefacts, carpentry, etc.

It guarantees excellent resistance and durability against the aggression of atmospheric agents and pollutants, even in marine or industrial environments.

HOW TO APPLY THE PRODUCT

SUPPORTS:

• Wood
• iron free from calamine and non-adherent rust

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

The support must be:

• healthy
• dry
• clean and consistent
• free from traces of dirt, grease, etc.
• Old inconsistent or flaking paint must be eliminated by thorough brushing or sandblasting or chemical pickling
• old paint that is still in good condition must be cleaned, degreased and sanded or brushed.

NEW IRON:

• Primer: 1 coat (we recommend the anti-rust primer BIOFER of Boero)
• Finish: 2 coats of LITRON

NEW WOOD:

• Primer: 1 coat (we recommend primer BIOFER or NICE HOUSE of Boero)
• Finish: 2 coats of LITRON

ALREADY PAINTED SUPPORTS (with well anchored paints):

• Bottom: not necessary
• Finish: 2 coats of LITRON

NB: If the anti-rust has been applied more than 72 hours ago, it is a good idea to proceed with light sanding before applying the finish.

CERAPLUS WAX IMPREGNANT (MAX MEYER)

Precious natural soft wax effect. Does not form a film. It doesn't crack. Superprotective based on special waxes. Suitable for high humidity environments (seas, lakes, mountains).

HOW TO APPLY THE PRODUCT

NEW WOOD: on dry, seasoned and clean wood, apply a first coat of product to nourish the wood fiber and to soak it deeply. After 24 hours, sand lightly to remove the hair of the wood with abrasive paper and apply one or two coats of CERAPLUS to finish 24 hours apart, interspersed with light sanding.

ALREADY TREATED WOOD: the wood must be clean and dry. Sand more or less thoroughly depending on the condition of the wood. Carefully remove the dust and proceed as indicated for new wood.

ACTIVE IMPREGNATING (MAX MEYER)

Easy to apply and renew. Long-lasting protective. Does not form a film. It allows the wood to breathe. Suitable for high humidity environments (seas, lakes and mountains).

Description:

• Wood protector.

Main features:

• It penetrates the wood and does not form a film
• Weather resistant
• Highlights the wood grain.

HOW TO APPLY THE PRODUCT

NEW WOOD: on dry, seasoned and clean wood, apply a first coat of product. After 24 hours, sand lightly to remove the wood hair with medium sandpaper (280-320) and apply one or two coats of primer to finish 6 hours apart. After applying the product you can also proceed with different finishes.

ALREADY TREATED WOOD: wash with water and detergent, rinse thoroughly and leave to dry, sand more or less thoroughly depending on the state of the wood. Remove the dust and apply one or two coats of product 6 hours apart

ACTIVE WATER-BASED IMPREGNATION (MAX MEYER)

Easy to apply and renew. Long-lasting protective. It allows the wood to breathe naturally. Suitable for high humidity environments (seas, lakes, mountains). Odorless, also ideal for application in poorly ventilated environments. Does not form a film.

HOW TO APPLY THE PRODUCT

NEW WOOD: on dry, seasoned and clean wood, apply a first coat of product to deeply impregnate the wood. After 24 hours, sand lightly to remove the hair of the wood with medium abrasive paper (280-320) and apply one or two coats of impregnator to finish 4-5 hours apart, interspersed with light sanding.

ALREADY TREATED WOOD: wash with water and detergent, rinse and leave to dry. Sand more or less thoroughly depending on the condition of the wood. Remove the dust and apply one or two coats of the product 4-5 hours apart, interspersed with light sanding. Keep in mind, for the final result, that the color will be increasingly intense with each application.

MAXQUARZO PRO AG

Quartz-based acrylic paint. Special anti-algae and anti-mould protection, with good covering power and excellent resistance to alkalis and atmospheric agents.

Main features:

MAXQUARZO PRO AG it is a paint with quartz flour based on acrylic copolymers in aqueous emulsion, coloring oxides, additives and mineral fillers. Suitable for applications on external wall surfaces. The type of binder used gives the product resistance to alkalis and atmospheric agents.

The adoption of solid pigments ensures the stability of the colors even on walls particularly exposed to light radiation and bad weather.

MAXQUARZO PRO AG contains special film preservatives, which give the paint preventive protection from the formation of mold and fungi.

HOW TO APPLY THE PRODUCT

Dilute the first coat of MAXQUARZO PRO AG with 10÷20% of water; dilute the second coat with 10÷15% of water. Space the two hands at least 4-6 hours apart. Apply evenly with a wool roller or brush. Wash tools with water immediately after use.
