In the last article we saw some advice for choose the structure and system for anchoring a gazebo; today we will analyze the types of gazebo covers and describe their main characteristics so as to be able to choose the one that best suits our needs.
For our gazebo it is possible to choose two types of covers:
- load-bearing roofing
- covers with sheets
The load-bearing roofs they are fixed structures, which allow for effective coverage from the action of the sun or rain thanks to their solidity; for the same reason you can avoid dismantling them during the winter season. This type of structure typically requires a building permit due to its non-precarious nature.
Coverings using sheets can be of various types depending on the material and characteristics of the sheet, in any case it is good to remember that a good cloth it typically costs at least as much as the gazebo itself.
The material in which gazebo sheets can be made can be:
- coated polyester, consisting of a layer of polyester covered by a coating of plastic material, to guarantee its resistance to the action of water and wind
- PVC, guarantees maximum resistance especially to water.
Of the two alternatives, PVC gazebo sheets are certainly the best choice as they guarantee maximum resistance, especially to water. Clearly they have a higher cost which is amply repaid by their high reliability.
