Thanks to the innovations introduced starting from 31 May 2016, the Thermal Account is now paid in a single solution if the installment is less than €5,000; therefore, even for those who replace a small appliance there is the possibility of significantly reducing the expense.

Who is entitled to the incentive?

To be entitled to the Thermal Account incentive you must satisfy 2 conditions:

  • Buy a new appliance to replace an old biomass boiler: wood, pellets, diesel, coal or fuel oil
  • Replace the old appliance with a new product, whose power does not exceed the power of the old product by 10%

How to get the incentive?

Once you have established that you are entitled to the Thermal Account incentive, you can make the request directly through the PortalTermico, entering all the data relating to the building-plant system and the interventions carried out.

How much is the incentive exactly and how is it paid?

The amount of the incentive depends on the climate zone where the building in which the replacement is carried out is located, which is regulated by the GSE. Below is a map of Italy with the division into climatic areas.

How is the incentive paid?

When submitting the application, the insertion of the Iban code of your current account, on which the incentive will come paid by bank transfer.

What documents are needed to request the incentive?

To be able to apply for the incentive, Brichome makes use of professionals affiliated with the Pro LaNordica-Extraflame Network. To carry out all the technical-bureaucratic procedures, the following documents are necessary:

  • Copy of the front and back of the identity card of the person entitled to the incentives provided by the GSE (responsible person)
  • Tax code of the person who incurred the costs for carrying out the interventions
  • In the event that the owner of the building within which the interventions were carried out is a different person from the responsible person: surname, name and tax code of the owner of the property
  • Exact address of the property
  • Land registry data of the building/property unit
  • Landline telephone number, mobile phone and email address of the Responsible Party
  • Estimated year of construction of the building
  • IBAN code of the current account of the person who incurred the costs for carrying out the intervention
  • SWIFT code of the bank where the transfer is made
  • Overall and detailed photograph of the new system
  • Photograph of the heat generator nameplate existing
  • Photograph of the heat generator nameplate new
  • Copy of the invoices certifying the cost incurred and the receipt of the bank or postal transfer with which these expenses were paid.

What are the eligible expenses for calculating the incentive?

    1. Supply and installation of insulating material to improve the thermal characteristics of existing structures;
    2. Supply and installation of ordinary materials, necessary for the construction of additional wall structures close to the pre-existing ones created at the same time as the works referred to in the previous point, for the improvement of the thermal characteristics of the existing structures;
    3. Demolition and reconstruction of the construction element, where consistent with current urban planning instruments;
    4. Professional services connected to the implementation of interventions.

Eligible expenses include VAT where it constitutes a cost. Transport is included among the eligible expenses because it is part of the supply.

Do I have to pay the intervention costs using the energy saving bank transfer for the 65% deduction?

NO, you can make an ordinary bank transfer taking care to observe the following rules regarding the reason:

  • the reason for payment must include a reference to the Ministerial Decree of 12/28/2012;
  • the reason must include the reference to the invoice number and related date;
  • if not already present elsewhere on the bank transfer receipt, the reason for payment must include the VAT number and tax code of the beneficiary of the payment and of the Responsible Party;
  • in the case of financial leasing, the reason for the transfer made by the leasing company must include the references of the Responsible Party (name and VAT number and/or tax code);
  • in the case of financing through third parties other than leasing (e.g. consumer credit through a finance company), the reason for the transfer must include the details of the Responsible Party (name and VAT number and/or tax code);
  • in the case of payment made by a person other than the Responsible Party and not attributable to the aforementioned cases (leasing, consumer credit), the reason must include the phrase: "payment made on behalf of ... (name and tax code of the Responsible Party)" .

In cases where the invoicing flows do not allow the issuing of the invoice at the time of payment, the order details (order number) may be indicated in the bank transfer; in any case, a copy of the invoice must also be sent to the GSE, together with a copy of the bank transfer receipt, both showing the order details (order number).
