7 tips before leaving on holiday

How many times once we left on holiday we remembered too late to do a check-up or found ourselves in unpleasant unexpected or annoying situations and said that it would have been enough to think about it first...

The holidays are approaching, and we all have a great desire to go on holiday and we at Brichome are no exception..

We therefore want to share a list of 7 useful tips before leaving on holiday, a checklist to help us leave without worries:

1. Car check: in addition to brakes and engine parts which are the responsibility of mechanics, we can check: radiator fluid, windshield wiper fluid, oil level, equip yourself with sun shades for the parked car and, for those leaving with their children, to protect the children from the sun in long trips
2. Useful tools for the trip and the holiday itself: reflective vest for the car (hoping not to have to use it), which we remember being obligatory, car phone charger, emergency car jumper cables (if you forget the car with the headlights on they are useful), torch (battery or solar or with dynamo). If our destination is a foreign country, make sure you are equipped with the essential adapters for electrical sockets.
3. Luggage: make sure that suitcases and bags are in good condition, during the car journey and beyond, they can open, lose the contents and possibly damage the rest of the luggage. For this reason, a convenient roof box can be helpful as it allows you not to take up space inside the vehicle and travel more comfortably.
4. Traveling to go on holiday doesn't have to be stressful, and having food in the fresh air contributes to our relaxation: for those who have to transport food on long journeys, equip themselves with cooler bags (both electric and normal). These are useful not only for travel, but also for those who go on trips out of town (thermal water bottles, thermal bottle holders, thermal backpacks, thermal blocks).
5. When we go on holiday we can not only think about ourselves but also about our own 4-legged friends; equip yourself with some accessories can make their journey a little more comfortable too: travel bottles, practical travel kits that in a single solution have bowls for food and drinks, or comfortable silicone bowls that expand from being flat and thin, allowing you to contain water for the dog/cat; To travel safely, we recommend the practical nets to separate the driver from the animal, or the comfortable handles to connect to the seat belt. 7. Water and gas taps closed, not only in winter (if it freezes everything can break and flood) but if you are away from home for a long time even a minimal leak can cause serious damage to the home. Remember to unplug all plugs connected to battery-powered electrical appliances equipped with a transformer, as the heat can cause problems with the batteries which can start fires.
