When the first cold weather arrives and you don't want or don't want to turn on the main heating system, an effective one alternative method of auxiliary heating can be the liquid fuel stove or electric one.

But which of these is the most convenient solution? What is the most efficient heating system? What is the actual savings energetic (and therefore economical)?

So here's a cost comparison of ventilated electric stoves with the costs of some wick fuel stoves.

Since the two solutions use two different energy sources (liquid fuel and electricity) we will carry out a comparison of the necessary costs to heat rooms with the same volume in cubic metres.

• We have chosen 0.22 €/kWh as the cost for electricity.
• We have chosen €2.50/l as the fuel cost.

It is therefore clear which heating system is the most convenient.

Both heating systems are in any case to be considered auxiliary solutions to a primary heating system.
